ASUS PadFone – Collobration of Mobile & Tablet

0

Here’s a fresh new idea for you. ASUS has just launched a new sort of device combination in the same neighborhood as Motorola’s Laptop Dock that we told you about earlier. The PadFone is essentially a Smartphone that can fit into a latch behind a tablet presumably powering the tablet with its processor.  Instead of a laptop dock like with Motorola, you now have a tablet dock.

Details of the specs are still sparse for now. Engadget seems to believe that the tablet might have a 3D enabled touchscreen. A dual core-processor is also expected. Leading electronics manufacturer from Taiwan is only saying PadFone will run the latest Android OS when it was launched, which of course leads to Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Update : It is now confirmed that this device has a 4.3-inch smarpthone and a 10.1-inch tablet dock and that ASUS plans to ship this device with the Ice Cream Sandwich
