How to Enable New Facebook Timeline

Here it is a Guide that will show you How you a get New Facebook Timeline before Thursday, September 29, 2011. after that it will automatically go Online!

How to get New Facebook Timeline
Step 0
Goto this Link “Get started“, A new window will appear Click on Allow (See Screenshot below)

Step 1
Click on “Create New App”

Step 2
You can Name it whatever you like, and a namespace of your own choice. Click the Check box “I Agree” & Hit Continue
.

Step 3
Now you have to Enter Captcha to prove that you are not a Bot.

Step 4
After Verification you’ll be on the screen (see screen shot below) Now just click on Open Graph
.

Step 5
Now You’ll see the next screen, “Get Started with Open Graph” fill the fields with anything you want. After filling Click the Get Started Button.

Step 6
On the screen like below, do nothing except scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes and Next”

Step 7
Do the Same as you have done in the Step 6! Scroll to the bottom & Click on “Save Changes and Next”

Step 8
Do the same what you have done in Step 6 & Step 7.

Step 9
Now you are on this screen (See Screen Shot Below). Wait for few minutes (roughly 2/3 Minutes), and then go to your Facebook Homepage

When you go back to your Facebook Homepage, you’ll see this (see Screen Shot Below). Just Click Get It Now & you are almost there!

Step 11
You have done it! Now just Click Publish & you’re done!

Your timeline is now Live! Enjoy your New Facebook Timeline.

How to Get Old Facebook!
-> Click on the Drop Down Menu (It’s at the Top Right Corner of the Page)
-> Click on Account Setting (Second Option from the Drop Down Menu)
-> Now Look for the Language It’s the Last option on the Page (Right Now the language is English (US)
-> Click on Edit & Choose English (UK) from the Drop Down menu or any other language to Get Your old facebook back!

This is a screenshot of the new Facebook Photo Viewer that I think went live for all users sometime this week.
The upgraded photo viewer still uses the theatre layout for displaying pictures inside a pop-up but at least they have moved away from that black background that was never really liked by Facebook users. Another change worth mentioning is that Facebook has also removed the ads from their photo viewer.
Do you like the new layout? If your answer is no.. than you can easily switch back to the Old Classic Layout by simply hitting the refresh button (F5) in your browser.

Missing Some Updates From Friends In Your Facebook News Feed?

If you’re a big Facebook user, chances are you’ve run into the odd occasion when you’ve posted an update that apparently nobody saw. It’s like you’ve been cut off from your friends, and while they thought you’d fallen off the face of the planet you’d actually been waxing lyrical with nobody to read it.
The problem lies with the way Facebook now defaults to showing just the most popular updates in the reader’s News Feed. What this means is that the updates with the most comments and/or likes get shown to the reader, not a complete stream of what their friends are saying, sharing and posting.
As with all things like this, there is a way to fix it – clicking the Most Recent/Top News toggle on the top-right of the feed changes the views. Simple, right? Well, not entirely.
Readers can still miss updates this way, thanks to an option hidden deeper inside Facebook. Often not all friends’ updates are shown thanks to an option that chooses whether all updates get pushed to your News Feed, or just those from people you interact with the most. Again, there’s an option you can change (arrow pointing to said option above) just to be sure.
The best way to fix this issue in the long run is to make sure all your friends know about these options and hope they take the time to check their settings.

The “Questions” feature in Facebook may be useful to some folks, but I don’t find it useful for a couple of reasons.
First, the questions are more geared towards fun and virality rather than usefulness. I agree that the nature of questions depends on the people you’re connected to but I have hardly seen anyone praising the usefulness of Facebook questions.
Second, whenever there is a world event like the Royal wedding or the launch of a new gadget, my timeline suddenly gets filled with dozens of irrelevant questions in which I have no interest at all. Worst thing is that the same question appears multiple times in the timeline, whenever there is a new answer or someone posts a comment to the question
And the notifications.“Mr X has answered Mr Y’s question”. After a while, this gets really annoying and the sad part is that Facebook does not allow you to block Facebook questions like you can block a particular application, game, invites or a user.
Here is what the FAQ page reads
As with other Facebook applications like Photos and Events, there is no way to turn off Questions.
If you’re fed up with the spammy nature of Facebook questions and want to turn off the clutter, try the Hide Facebook Questions extension for Google Chrome. The extension hides every evidence of the “Questions” feature so your news feed doesn’t get cluttered with polls.Once installed, you will need to refresh Google Chrome and the Questions feature will vanish from your timeline.
And so will the notifications that used to come when one of your friends answered a question asked by another Facebook friend of yours.
Firefox fans can try the more advanced FB purity add-on which lets you fix some other annoyances apart from hiding Facebook questions in Firefox. For example, FB Purity allows you to use the older Facebook commenting system, where pressing Enter or Return adds a new line to your comment, and pressing the “Comment” button submits the comment.
I would suggest FB purity add-on! & now FB purity add-on is also available for Google Chrome, Opera & Safari web browsers.

ATTENTION!
While on Facebook, look at your URL address (the very top box on your screen) If u see “http:” instead of “https:” then you DO NOT have a secure session & can your account can be HACKED easily. To Browse a secure Facebook connection
Go to Account >> Account Settings >> Account Security >> click Change >> Check box (secure browsing) >> click Save!
